Great post, Gradon. I love reading about other peoples families. Your dad sounds like one of the good ones. Happy fathers day to both of you!

...

I am touched by your love for this man.

In fact, I am repeatedly touched by how much love you allow into your life.

Very happy to know you IRL, and Meg.

Incredible birthday tribute for your dad. Being able to express yourself and have him read it, is a gift. (I know you already know that by the way you wrote about him. You don't need me to tell you.)

I lost my dad when I was 21. I didn't get a chance to tell him how awesome he was enough times before I lost him. Now, I blog fake letters to him.

Bravo to you for using your blog to show your appreciation for your father. You're lucky to have one another.

Beautifully written. There is nothing greater than the love between parents and their children. Happy Birthday to your dad.

Give your da a hug n a kiss for me...my own da gone now 22 years.

I was 30 when he passed. He was a hard working family man who worked with his hands and his mind too (in the small world dept he passed through MIT in his career as an aereospace engineer. Maybe your Dad tooled a machine that my Dad helped designed.)

They don't make em so much like our Dad's anymore. Thanks for the stroy.
